Materials chosen to last

Every Flaminia swimsuit is born from careful research into materials: technical Italian fabrics, soft on the skin, resistant to wear, and designed to embrace the body with comfort, support, and naturalness.

Vita by Carvico

For our first collection, we chose Vita by Carvico, an Italian technical fabric designed for quality swimwear. Its composition combines 78% recycled polyamide and 22% elastane, offering elasticity, comfort, and a fit that embraces the body without restricting it.

Soft, compact, and durable, it is a material designed to maintain its shape and resilience over time. The fabric weight of 190 g/m² makes it ideal for elegant, comfortable, and long-lasting swimsuits.

Why We Chose It

Comfort, support, and freedom of movement

A swimsuit must be beautiful, but above all, it must be functional. It must follow movement, remain stable, enhance the silhouette, and maintain its quality season after season.

For this reason, we choose technical fabrics with high elasticity, resistance, and recovery capabilities. Vita is designed to offer comfort on the skin, good coverage, shape retention, and resistance to daily use at the beach, in the pool, and under the sun.

A more conscious choice

The fabric used by Flaminia contains recycled multifilament polyamide, a choice that allows us to combine performance, aesthetics, and greater awareness in material selection.

Carvico S.p.A. is certified according to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) for the dyed fabrics category, as per the certificate issued by Control Union Certifications.

For some fabric categories, the certificate indicates compositions with 78% pre-consumer recycled polyamide and 22% elastane, GRS certified.

FAQ

How to care for your Flaminia

A quality swimsuit lasts longer when treated with care. After each use, rinse it with fresh water to remove salt, chlorine, sand, and sunscreen residue.

Hand wash the garment in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Avoid bleach, tumble drying, dry cleaning, and ironing. Let the swimsuit air dry in the shade, away from direct heat sources, to preserve its color, elasticity, and fit.

Can sun creams and oils damage the fabric?

Sunscreen, oils, and cosmetic products can leave residues on the fabric. Therefore, we recommend applying them before wearing your swimsuit and always rinsing the garment with fresh water after use.

Can chlorine damage your swimsuit?

Over time, chlorine can affect the colour, elasticity, and sheen of the fabric. After swimming, always rinse your swimsuit with fresh water and let it dry in the shade.

How do I protect costume details?

Avoid rubbing against rough surfaces such as rocks, sun loungers, swimming pool edges, or abrasive walls. Delicate details and bright finishes should be handled with care to preserve their beauty and durability.
